## About this property
A boutique studio a few blocks from downtown Rapid City, located on one of the prettiest streets in town. It is finished with the kind of detail you usually only get in a design magazine: exposed brick, a slatted wood feature wall, warm oak floors, and a leather sofa you'll love. There's a king bed, a full kitchen with island seating, in-unit laundry, and a private Trex deck with lounge seating. Perfect for a couple who wants a glamarous getaway.

West Boulevard is the street Rapid City shows off. Grand old homes, deep front lawns, a corridor of mature trees that turns gold in October. Tucked along it, up a flight of exterior stairs to its own deck, is a beautiful studio with its own seating area.

Step inside and the first thing you notice is the brick. A full wall of it runs the length of the kitchen, softened by open oak shelving and a sculptural globe fixture hanging over the island. The floors are warm oak. The light is good. Someone with taste made every decision in this room.

The kitchen is genuinely equipped rather than gestured at: quartz counters, full-size stainless refrigerator, dishwasher, a proper knife block, a coffee maker for the slow start. Two leather stools pull up to a black island, which is where you'll end up eating, working, and lingering over a second cup.

Because this is a studio, it all flows together, and that openness is the point. At one end, a king bed sits against a striking slatted-wood wall between two glass sconces, a leather bench at its foot, a mini-split overhead to hold whatever temperature you like. At the other, a tan leather sofa and a soft patterned rug face a wall-mounted television. One room, two moods, no wasted space. It suits a couple or a single traveler beautifully.

The bathroom deserves its own paragraph.Beautiful tile goes from floor to ceiling in the large walk in shower, with a recessed niche for your things. A floating vanity carries an integrated basin under a backlit mirror, and a window above it looks straight into the neighboring spruce. It is a very pleasant place to end a long day of driving the Hills.

Outside

The deck may be the best argument for booking in summer. Wide Trex planks, a privacy rail, lounge chairs pulled around a low table, planters in the corners, and the glow of string lights while overlooking the best neighborhood in Rapid City. You sit above the street here, screened by trees, close enough to hear the neighborhood but comfortably apart from it. Morning coffee, evening drink, the whole reason people write about porches.

House Rules

As a Superhost, we aim to make your stay as comfortable as it can possibly be! Our mission is to help our guests create beautiful memories in our cozy home while keeping the property safe and in good condition for the owner. 

Smoking:
No Smoking, Vaping, or aerosolized substances of any kind are allowed on the property. If you are caught violating this rule within 50' of the structure, a minimum of $250 fine will be charged, and the guest will be liable for the total smoke mitigation charges that a professional company charges. 

Pets: 
This house is not pet-friendly 

Quiet Hours:
Please be respectful of the neighborhood and keep noise under a normal conversation in volume after 9 pm and before 7am. 

General Damages:
Please let us know immediately if something is malfunctioning so it can be rectified. All damages or missing items occurring during your stay will need to be paid for by you before departure. Cleaners check for damages and any missing items after each stay. Any damages or missing items can and will be billed to the guest.

Fire Prevention and Safety:
Please do not leave any electrical appliances switched on when they are not in use, or when you are leaving for the day. This includes space heaters, air conditioners, fans, hair curlers/straighteners and
portable device chargers.

Other:
The space you are booking is for up to 2 people. More than 2 people are allowed with written permission from the host before staying in the home. The property is not setup for comfort and is not recommended for more then 2 people. No one is allowed in the home not already specified before starting the stay.

Consumables:
We may leave consumables such as coffee and small snacks for you to enjoy. We try our very best to ensure that it is not expired or stale. However, ultimately, it is up to the guests' discretion and inspection to consume these items if they wish. The host does not take any responsibility for the consumables.

Parties: 
If guests are found to have had a party without host permission, guests will be responsible for any extra cleaning charges and Guests will be asked to vacate immediately. 

Crime and Drugs:
If guests are suspected of breaking laws or storing/selling/or using illegal drugs of any kind, the authorities will be engaged, and guests will be asked to leave immediately. 

Cleaning: 
Please hang your towels, take the trash out to the outdoor garbage can, and wash your dishes. We will handle everything else. We handle it, however if your party leaves the property in poor condition at the sole discretion of JAckie we may charge additional cleaning fees. This is based on the average condition that a guest leaves the property. 

Your cleaning fee covers the cost to disinfect the property between guests, laundry wash/dry/placement, staging the property as it was, cleaning bathrooms, floors, hard surfaces, etc. It does NOT cover anything else such as coloring on walls, damage to the property, damaged linens, furniture, gouges in flooring, broken items, or other extraneous items. 

Lastly, because this is an Airbnb community, not a hotel, please be respectful of the property.

As it turns out my family had long-time ties and friendships with the previous owners of the house -- even having specific knowledge of the rooms added to the house (this unit was within the addition).  It was nice to see the outstanding job of space utilization/decorations used in the unit.  The outdoor space was also outstanding and the walkability is perfect.  
I was there for a funeral that overlapped with an international work schedule and within that context the unit had a limitation for computer workspace.  The center table would be a natural workspace, but it did not have access to plugs without stringing power cables across the unit.   As a suggestion, a floor-unit plug-in at the center table would solve that issue and might allow for the micro-wave to be brought out of the floor level cabinet as a bonus.  I would happily stay again."

Rapid City is relatively close to any of the parks so it made it easy to see a good variety of places.  We put our suitcases on the bench at the end of the bed and this worked well for us.  But, if you are used to pulling all your cloths out and putting them in a drawer this isn't the place for you.  Parking was close on the street at the foot of the stairs.  This is a quiet residential neighborhood that would be nice place to live. We found it friendly with people saying hi or nodding when we passed them."

I booked it also because of location, and while we were too tired to do anything other than order delivery, it looked close to restaurants. Would highly recommend this property for 2 in Rapid City, SD. Jackie as our host was just wonderful to work with and all her responses were very quick and to the point. 
The property was just as the pictures showed and very clean. Check in and check out was very easy (just like entering and leaving your own home). Will use again if ever in the area.
This is a perfect landing spot and centrally located for all the Black Hills area attractions that you wish to see. We spent three nights there and probably could have used one more day to see a couple more things on the bucket list :-D"
