Our trip was intentionally centered in Lead. The house gave us a great reprieve. Ideally located for Badlands, Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park as well as Deadwood. We would stay again for sure!

We spent three wonderful days here for a sibling reunion, and our only regret was that we didn’t stay longer! This is a beautiful property with so much to enjoy. We loved the private hot tub, large fire pit, outdoor grill and dining area, and the beautiful surroundings. Inside, there was something for everyone—ping-pong, foosball, shuffleboard, air hockey, arcade games, and plenty of board games. Having access to the heated outdoor pool and clubhouse was another great bonus. The house was very comfortable for our group. We especially loved that each bedroom had its own en suite bathroom. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, with great appliances and even an air fryer. The owners have thought of so many details to make guests feel at home. It was a wonderful place to gather, relax, laugh, and spend time together as a family. We would happily stay here again—and next time, definitely for more than three days!

We took a family trip to South Dakota and we were so glad we decided to stay at Jackie’s place in Lead. The house is beautiful. The furniture and beds were comfortable. The house was very clean. It is walkable to the community center for swimming. Neighborhood felt safe. The grandkids had so much fun playing air hockey, ping pong, arcade games, and shuffleboard. The outdoor decks were literally an extension of the home with the furniture, fire pit tables, and dining table. The outdoor scenery is beautiful. It was nice to be able to use the garage to store all of our mountain bikes. We also enjoyed the hot tub. Host was very responsive to calls/emails. There is so much to do and enjoy in the area that we ran out of days to do everything that was on our list. We highly recommend staying at Jackie’s “Ace in the Hills.”
